ABOUT BRANDY

..............There are not exact records of beginning of brandy manufacturing in BIH, but that manufacturing surely had a long tradition on this territory. From time immemorial, brandy was being called the water of life (eau de vie) and viljamovka is the queen among them.

..............Knowledge of distillation process was spreading all over Europe and many countries manufacturing of distillative alcoholic drinks, which were called The Water of Life started.
Discovering the origin of specific alcoholic drinks is not easy at all, since the recipes became a part of national pride. In the 15th century, manufacturing of “national drinks“ in European countries began and nowadays there are very well known drinks from that countries, such as gin in England, shanps in Germany, whiskey in Scotland, vodka in Russia and Poland and BRANDY in Balcan.

.............GOLDEN VILJAMOVKA is brandy which takes a lot of investments to become and stay a pride and most recognisable drink from its town of origin. Thirty years ago, pear brandy did not even exist, but today it is sorted in the row of most precious fruit brandies. Viljamovka is a natural brandy which is made of well-known pear Williams. Pear Williams was discovered in England 1770 and it was called by the gardener Williams from London.
In the 19th century pear Williams was carried over to South America and France and then spread all over Europe.
